We provide some of the best Daylilies available at great values. If you have never ordered from us before we hope you’ll give us a chance to earn your business in 2007.
We are pleased to offer 22 new introductions this spring. Our collections this year consist of 13 large full formed flowers 3 Unusual forms and for the first time a small flower collection of 6 cultivars. All new introductions are double fans. Our beautiful Agapanthus are a “must have” if you ever come visit and see the huge size of the blooms and colors that range from a very light sky blue to a deep royal purple. We continue to offer our very popular hybrid Daylily seedlings. Our specially selected Edges & Eyes Hybrid Daylily Seedlings were a hit last year. A bonus of 10% to 20% will be included in all orders shipped.
Countryside Daylilies is Mail Order only and not open to the public except by special arrangement. Except we will be open from 8 am to 2 pm every weekend in May and the 1st weekend in June. Please see page 28 for more details and directions.
This past spring we had many groups and individuals visit our garden from Daylily fanatics to those brand new to Daylilies we appreciate your patronage. The most interested and enthusiastic group to visit was the 5th grade class from Bell Elementary School. We were a little worried about having over 100 children in the garden at once. They were fantastic! Such enthusiasm! We had such a great time hosting these kids. The previous Fall we had visited this same class and helped us name some cultivars. Again they provided many ideas for names. To date they have come up with or inspired names for 17 Cultivars. These include JOLT, SOCCER HEAD, BLACKBERRY BEAUTY, GIVE US A KISS, I SHOULDN’T OF ATE BREAKFAST, JAM SLAM, RHONDA K. SCOTT, SQUIDWARD, DRAGONFLY SHIMMER, JACKIE’S EYES, BELL BOTTOM BLUE JEANS, FROST AT MIDNIGHT, STRAWBERRY TREASURE, BLACK EYED PEAS, NECTAR COLLECTOR, PURPLE BANANAS and BERRY EXTRAORDINARY. We would like to thank the entire 5th grade and their teachers for making this a great experience. We hope they visit this spring.
