Creamy peach pink with bold rose eye etched in red and double edge of rose & gold, green throat, 2¾" petals and 1¾" sepals, fragrant, very fertile pod & pollen parent, 4 way branching and 27 buds. (DIXIE RHYTHM X LEE PICKLES) I made several hundred seedlings of this cross three years ago and selected dozens of the seedlings for further evaluation. If my evaluations were based on the flower alone it would have been very difficult because this crossed produced very little variation in the flower itself. However based on branching, bud count, and reblooming habit DIXIE DYED was the obvious choice. |
